When this job shows up
A competitor changes plans, leadership considers a price change, or packaging no longer seems aligned with the market.
A useful way to do the work
A strong analysis preserves the differences that matter.
Compare plan structure, list price, billing basis, included entitlements, limits, add-ons, packaging logic, and known changes over time. Mark negotiated or realized prices as unknown unless you have evidence.
Then ask what the market evidence changes for your own decision. Competitor pricing can reveal expectations and movement. It cannot determine willingness to pay or your economics.
Skills used
The Job can route to additional Skills when the question expands.
What Market Analyst adds
Market Analyst can bring current plans and prior states into the review, which makes it possible to see whether a price is new, whether packaging has shifted, and whether several competitors are moving in the same direction.
Evidence boundary
No retail SKU repricing, dynamic pricing, willingness-to-pay measurement, or revenue forecasting.
