Market Briefing
Turn recent market movement into a useful briefing
Market Briefing is one of the sixteen methods in Competitive Skills by LMTY.
Market Analyst fit: core
Try asking
- Give me this week’s competitive briefing
- What changed in our market this month?
- Summarize the market movement our team should pay attention to
Use this when
A team needs a weekly or monthly view of what changed without reading a raw stream of alerts.
What it needs
Recent market observations, known priorities, prior briefing state, and enough coverage to distinguish material movement from gaps in collection.
What it produces
A dated briefing with the changes that matter, why they may matter, a watchlist, supporting evidence, uncertainty, and coverage notes.
How the method works
Review the period, group related movement, remove duplicate noise, rank by relevance, and state when nothing material changed. Carry forward unresolved watch items only when they still deserve attention.
Evidence rules
A quiet week is valid only when coverage is known. Incomplete collection should not be described as market stability.
What Market Analyst adds
Market Analyst supplies recurring history, prior state, and change candidates so the briefing does not rebuild the market every week.
What this Skill does not own
This is an operational market update. Executive decision preparation is a separate method.
Use the method in the right context
The Skill can run on its own with the context available to the AI system. When LMTY is connected, it can start from persistent market context and supporting evidence. Company-specific or deal-specific conclusions still require the relevant private context.
Market intelligence
Build a current, evidence-backed understanding of one competitor across customer, positioning, product, pricing, recent changes, strengths, and trade-offs.
Test whether a pattern of competitor, buyer, product, pricing, or positioning signals represents a real market shift rather than noise.
