Sales Objection Response

Sales Objection Response

Handle a competitive objection without bluffing

Sales Objection Response is one of the sixteen methods in Competitive Skills by LMTY.

Market Analyst fit: deal-context-heavy

Try asking

  • The buyer says our competitor is cheaper. What do I say?
  • A prospect says the competitor has more integrations. Help me respond.
  • How should I handle this competitive objection on the call?

Use this when

A buyer raises one competitive objection during an active deal.

What it needs

The objection, current competitor truth, product truth, and any available buyer or deal context. CRM, calls, win/loss evidence, and company knowledge improve account-specific guidance.

What it produces

A verified view of the claim, response posture, discovery questions, supportable proof, risks, and a warning about what not to claim.

How the method works

Verify the premise first. Find the decision criterion beneath the wording. Give a short response that acknowledges reality, then use questions to learn what actually matters to the buyer.

Evidence rules

Do not rebut an unverified claim. If the competitor is genuinely stronger on the buyer’s criterion, say so and adjust the response.

What Market Analyst adds

Market Analyst can supply current public competitor truth before private deal context is layered on top.

What this Skill does not own

Generic sales coaching and objections unrelated to competitors are outside scope.

Use the method in the right context

The Skill can run on its own with the context available to the AI system. When LMTY is connected, it can start from persistent market context and supporting evidence. Company-specific or deal-specific conclusions still require the relevant private context.
